You play a vital role in your student’s success, and by joining the Parent & Family Advancement Council, you will directly collaborate with Florida State University to empower students to achieve their full potential. You can also enjoy a deeper connection with the university through philanthropic engagement, programs, and activities.
Additionally, Council members play an essential role as ambassadors, welcoming new families to FSU and participating in events like move-in day, Family Weekend festivities, and more.

The Parent & Family Advancement Council is comprised of FSU families of current or former FSU students committed to supporting student success through their philanthropy and engagement. Council members serve as university ambassadors and invest in meaningful initiatives that advance the university. Council members make a minimum philanthropic investment of $10,000 annually to support any academic area of their choosing. They are also encouraged to make a major gift (a philanthropic investment of at least $50,000) to honor their student’s FSU experience (often made to the college their student attends). Council members enjoy unique benefits and opportunities as well as regular interactions with university and academic leadership.
